A XVIII. század végén a Bárány család rendelkezik nagyobb birtokkal Balatonbogláron. Az apai birtokot öröklő rendesi Bárány Pál 1796-ban születik. Előbb a domb aljában 1836-ban udvarházat, majd 1857-ben a domb nyugati oldalában neogótikus stílusú kápolnát épít, benne a családi sírbolttal. A kegyhely később - házasság révén - a gyulai Gaál család birtokába kerül.
Az 1970-es évektől nyári képzőművészeti kiállítások helyszíne, s előterében megépített, cédrus fákkal ívelt színpadán komoly színházi eseménynek számító színielőadások zajlottak a ”kaposvár jelenség” idején.
Több alkalommal is felújításra érdemesnek találta Balatonboglár, s a közelmúltban megújult környezetével, szabadtéri színpadával kedvelt látogató hely.
Red Chapel
The end of the XVIII. century the Bárány family had the biggest land in Balatonboglar. Pál Bárány who borned in 1796 inherited the lands. First, in 1836, they built a manor at the foot of the hill and in 1857 they built a neo-gothic chapel and a family crypt on the west side of the hill. Later, the shrine belonged to the gyulai Gaal family /by marriage/. From 1970 there were summer fine art exhibitions, there were performanes on the stage and there were the old music garden.
